My Work

Conference Interpreter, Translator & Voice Over Artist

Communication is not the same in every language
When you’re trying to connect with people who speak a different language the last thing you need is for your message to be lost in translation.

It’s about cultural communication
Interpreting and translating is just as much about understanding your culture as it is about understanding your language. There are subtleties, which can be lost if your interpreter doesn’t understand the cultural aspects of both languages they’re working in.

Explaining jargon
Different industries use language in different ways. Jargon and acronyms used in one industry may not translate to another. Similarly, they may not always translate naturally from one language to another.

Bringing it together
I take my knowledge and experience of language and combine it with my knowledge and research into your industry to bring the two elements together. This means I make sure that whatever you say in your language means exactly the same in the language I’m translating it into.

My languages
My mother tongue is Spanish. It’s important to know the differences between the forms of Spanish and I work in both Latin American and European. I’m a fluent speaker and interpreter of English and Portuguese, and I also work from French for written translations.

How I work with you
I’m based in London, but I travel worldwide for conferences and meetings. Before your project starts I’ll talk to you about what you need in terms of interpreting, translation or voice over. I’ll prepare for your translation by researching your specific topic; and I strive to work with the latest technology to make things as simple and consistent for you as possible.
